Skin acts as a water and fat storage center. These fats serve to keep muscles and bones intact. It then allows the process of synthesis of vitamin D from sunlight.

  • Act as your sense

The skin has a variety of nerve endings that act as the human senses to heat or cold temperatures, touch, vibration, pressure, pain, and other sensations.

  • Enhance your appearance

Skin is an organ that is first seen by others. With its color and texture, the skin can support one’s appearance, attractiveness, and confidence.

In addition, the skin also plays a role in the system of excretion or removal of toxins and metabolic residues in the body through sweat.

Tips to maintain skin’s health

As you age, your skin will change. The skin is no longer soft or supple at a young age. In addition, the skin tends to be dryer, thinner, and prone to irritation.

Although the skin will regenerate naturally every 27 days, skincare is required to maintain optimal skin function. Some ways you can do this include:

  • Cleanse the skin twice a day

Before going to bed at night, it is important to get used to cleaning your face, including removing all the makeup that is still on the face. It is recommended to use non-fragrant soap. It is also advisable to take a bath at least 2 times a day, to clean the surface of any dirt, dirt, and germs that may be sticking to the skin.

  • Use sunscreen when if you are exposed to sunlight

The ultraviolet rays of sunlight can affect the aging process on the skin. It is recommended to use sunscreen daily. Utilize sunscreen products with SPF of 30 or more, which protect against UVA and UVB. Limit sunlight exposure to 10am to 2pm with the strongest ultraviolet exposure.
